ACV Expands in the Netherlands: Larger Facility, Greater Capability, More Stock
Last year marked a significant milestone for ACV in Europe as we relocated our Netherlands operation to a substantially larger premises, a strategic move designed to strengthen our stockholding, expand our engineering capability and enhance service levels across the UK and EU.
When we first opened in the Netherlands in 2024, the objective was clear: reinforce our European presence, improve local stock availability and bring our engineering expertise closer to EU customers.
What we did not anticipate was the pace of growth. Within just one year, demand had outgrown the original facility. Increased stock investment, expanding customer relationships and rising project requirements made the decision straightforward, we needed more space. This expansion represents far more than additional square footage; it reflects our long-term commitment to faster delivery, greater availability, and stronger technical support for customers operating in critical industries.
A Larger Facility. A Stronger European Operation
Our new, significantly larger premises in the Netherlands marks a major step forward in ACV’s European journey. This is not simply a relocation, it is a statement of intent.
The expanded site enables us to:
Hold substantially larger volumes of critical valve and actuator stock
Improve availability across mainland Europe and Ireland
Reduce lead times for urgent project requirements
Continue supporting customers with enhanced engineering and automation services
This move strengthens our position as a genuine European solutions partner, not just a stockist.
Expanded Stockholding: Ready When You Are
The new facility allows us to significantly increase stock of our core brands, including:
Starline ball valves
Pekos floating and trunnion mounted ball valves
Perar high-pressure API ball valves
Galli & Cassina plug valves
Air Torque pneumatic actuators
Alongside these brands, we continue to expand complementary products and accessories to provide complete, ready-to-install solutions.
With greater stock depth comes greater flexibility, enabling us to support maintenance teams, EPC contractors, distributors and end users with rapid supply when timing is critical.
Engineering Capability: More Than Just Stock
Our expanded Netherlands facility strengthens our ability to support customers with complete engineered solutions, not simply product supply.
Alongside increased stockholding, we provide a comprehensive engineering offering designed to deliver valves and actuators ready for installation and operation. Our services include:
Valve automation and actuator mounting
Actuator sizing and torque calculations
Custom mounting kits, bracketry and coupling solutions
Accessory integration including switchboxes and positioners
Functional testing and inspection
Project documentation and certification packs
By combining technical expertise with structured processes, we ensure assemblies are correctly specified, compliant and prepared for site requirements before they leave our facility.
This capability allows us to support maintenance teams, EPC contractors, distributors, and end users with engineered packages that reduce on-site modification, improve installation efficiency and enhance long-term reliability.
Your European Team
The continued growth and operational development of ACV Europe is led by Mark Brouwer, whose leadership has been instrumental in building strong regional relationships and scaling the facility in line with customer demand.
Under his management and with the support of his son, Bjorn Brouwer, the Netherlands site has rapidly evolved into a key European distribution centre, supporting both local customers and wider cross-border projects.
Conclusion
Our European expansion reflects more than just growth. It demonstrates ACV’s long-term commitment to investing in infrastructure and stock to better serve customers operating in demanding and time-critical industries. By strengthening our European footprint, we are positioned to respond faster, support more complex requirements and deliver greater reliability across every stage of a project lifecycle.
If you would like to discuss your valve or automation requirements, our European team is ready to support you. Get in touch to find out how our expanded capability can assist with your next project.
